Canadian 18th century Silver Caster Pierre Huguet dit Latour C.1770 with silversmith mark for Michel Fortin Quebec. This blind caster (sleeved for dry mustard) of baluster form, the foliate decorated cover with plain knopped finial, the lower body plain with engraved crest of a bird on moulded circular pedestal base. Marked on both cover and body and engraved K over PM on underside of base. Height: 4.75 inches. Weight: 133.51 grams. Literature: Illustrated Plate 41 Canadian Silversmiths 1700-1900 John E.
